TGIF, readers! Here's my weekly favorites round up—
ONE || Haper Lee Announces Go Set a Watchman
via The Atlantic
This week, news was released that Harper Lee, author of To Kill A Mockingbird, will release a sequel to her beloved novel after decades of refusing to publish another manuscript. The sequel, titled Go Set a Watchman, chronicles the life of Scout, protagonist of To Kill A Mockingbird, during her adult life and features numerous flashbacks to her childhood in Maycomb, Alabama. Read this moving article by The Atlantic about the mixed emotions surrounding the announcement, in light of Lee's health struggles and battle with media attention.
TWO || Coconut Milk at Starbucks
via R29
I am so excited that Starbucks is adding coconut milk to their menu starting February 27. I think this will taste great in a cappuccino or even a flat white (plus coconut milk is one of the yummiest milk alternatives). It was also great to read that the idea for the menu addition came from a customer suggestion— nice to hear that a large company is so in tune with its customers! Read Refinery 29's coverage of the news here.
THREE || First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads
via Sephora
After I finished up my Peter Thomas Roth Alpha Beta Hydroxy Peel Pads, I wanted to try a one-step acid toner. I did some research and found First Aid Beauty's Facial Radiance Pads, which are soaked in a glow-inducing combination of lactic and glycolic acids. This product did not disappoint! The day after I first used this, I woke up with clearer, softer skin. Try the product out here.
FOUR || Joie's Spring Collection
via Joie
I have always loved Joie. The California-meets-Paris line is equal amounts cool and chic. Their spring collection is one of my favorites so far (how good is this jacket?!). The watercolor design blouses and tanks are adorable and so sweet. Shop the collection here.
FIVE || "Shark Tank"
via ABC
I have been watching "Shark Tank" non-stop this week— in fact, I ran out of episodes on Xfinity! I find the ideas presented on the show fascinating and am always eager to hear the sharks' feedback about how they predict the market will respond to a certain product. Plus, "Shark Tank" introduced me to one of my favorite sweet treats— vegan cinnamon rolls (from the company Cinnaholic!). Watch it here.
What are you up to this weekend?
xoxo,
Ashley
