ONE // "Shark Tank"
I'm a longtime fan of "Shark Tank," a show featuring various entrepreneurs who present their ideas to five famous investors in hopes of scoring a deal with one of the vicious financial sharks. I learn a lot from this show— from exposure to new, interesting products to learning about consumer demand and business basics, this is both an entertaining and informative show you won't regret watching.
TWO // "How to Get Away With Murder"
Shonda Rhimes has done it again! The screenwriter, director and producer has launched her third, home run show (in addition to "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal") on ABC. The series follows the life of the notoriously tough law professor Annalise Keating and five of her top students who intern for her law firm while in her law class. Riddled with violence, scandal and misconduct, this show is certainly not for the faint of heart, but it is very addicting!
THREE // "Downton Abbey"
My parents and I absolutely love "Downton Abbey." We just started re-watching the series starting with season 1! I appreciate that it is one of the few things on TV I can watch with just about anyone (Grandie included), without cringing or enduring uncomfortable scenes. Even though the show isn't overtly racy, it packs its own scandalous punch as it explores the complex world of post-Edwardian England. "Downton Abbey" focuses on an old estate, exposing what really goes on between the servants and the nobles behind closed doors.
FOUR // "Chopped"
I am a fan of almost every show on the Food Network, but "Chopped" will always have a special place in my heart. My adrenaline totally gets pumping when I watch chefs create incredible dishes on the spot, featuring some pretty strange ingredients. When my mom and I cook together she often jokes that we are on the show saying, "five minutes chefs!," proving that it is a great find for anyone in your family.
FIVE // "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon"
Late night TV is one of my guilty pleasures. I somehow feel more pop culture literate when I watch an evening talk show. I think Jimmy Fallon's show is the best— he is hilarious and always looks like he's having a blast. While this isn't necessarily a show I would watch as part of a series marathon, it is something I check out a few times a week when I have the energy to stay up late.
What are your favorite TV shows?
xoxo,
Ashley
