TGIF!!

Happy, happy, HAPPY Friday readers! Another chilly February week has flown by filled with some great new discoveries that I'm sharing today. Read on for my weekly favorites—

ONE // Bond No. 9 Madison Square Park
via Nordstrom
I adore the fragrance company Bond No. 9's funky bottles and luxe scents. I recently splurged on the classic Madison Square Park fragrance and was not disappointed. Notes of grape hyacinth, huckleberry, tulips and teakwood make this floral, feminine scent noticeably sweet. Check it out at Nordstrom, here.

TWO // The Atlantic's "Vitamin B.S."
via The Atlantic
Almost every week I feature one of The Atlantic's insightful and useful articles, and this week I read one that especially piqued my interest. As someone who downs Vitamin D supplements and Emergen C on the regular, I was glad to have a much needed wake-up call about the importance of incorporating naturally occurring vitamins through food into my diet, rather than simply hoping a concentrated supplement could ensure good health. Read the entire article and interview with Catherine Price here.

THREE // Refinery 29's "Fifteen Celebrity Photo Secrets to Look Good on Every Photo"
via Refinery 29
Refinery 29 is every cool-girl's go to website, and the girls in R29's beauty department don't disappoint with their tips for looking great in photos. I'm a huge fan of applying a little bit of shimmery eyeshadow in the inner corner to brighten tired eyes, but often forget this little trick that makes a huge difference. In fact, I learned about this when I first started competitive dancing (where I first started applying makeup) as a way to make eyes look bigger from the stage! Read the full article here.

FOUR // NY Times 36 Questions IRL
via NYT
Okay this is too good. For anyone who missed Mandy Le Catron's New York Times article that went viral earlier this year about an experiment she tried involving two people asking each other 36 personal and supposedly love-inducing questions, Google it. Such a great read, with a ton of ideas about conversation topics to ask your loved ones. Last week, NYT wrote a follow up article featuring the stories of readers who took the 36-question challenge for themselves. Read the touching story here.

FIVE // The Cut's Crimes of Fashion
via The Cut
This is a super interesting article about employee dress codes at various stores nation wide in response to some of the controversy surrounding American Apparel's hiring practices. The Cut gives us the scoop on what employees are required to wear at stores like J. Crew, Abercrombie & Fitch and Saks Fifth Avenue. While some of the requirements are surprisingly specific, there are also some hidden gems about styling rules you can incorporate into your daily life. Check it out here.
