I am finishing up a six week cooking class covering all the basics of cooking and baking—we have covered everything from homemade stocks and broths to souffles! I have absolutely loved it. While this class has taught me a lot of useful cooking skills, it has mainly given me an extra dose of inspiration to try out new recipes and has helped me gain confidence in my abilities.
Before this class I spent most of my kitchen time baking— the precision is somehow comforting to me compared to the "flavor-to-taste" aspect of cooking. The last few weeks, though, I have been diving back into some of my family's favorite recipe books, pictured and linked above. I am also listing a few recipes I love below. Enjoy!
Roasted Sweet Potato, Wild Rice & Arugula Salad (Recipe here)
Blackened Fish Tacos (Recipe here)
