Happy (belated) Thanksgiving and happy (black) Friday! It's that time of the week again when I share what I've been obsessed with over the last 7 days. Here's what has caught my eye:
Breakfast Bowls

I've been harping on breakfast all over the blog, but I haven't discussed what I eat. I don't have much of an appetite in the morning, but so many doctors have described the health benefits of eating something within 30 minutes of waking up. These benefits include kickstarting your metabolism, helping cut cravings, increasing alertness and concentration and improving mood. I start my day with a pretty breakfast bowl of plain semi-skim yogurt (a small amount of fat keeps me fuller longer), toasted coconut, honey granola and a mix of raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. This healthy breakfast holds me over well into lunch and also has decreased my appetite overall. Find this and many more pics on my instagram page @ashley_see by clicking here.
Headspace

Let's be real: I have always had a lot of trouble managing stress. I am very Type A, meaning I often get hung up on the small things in life. I have found spending a few minutes to be quiet and take myself to the present rather worrying about the future/past is so helpful. I read about an app called Headspace in Allure's December 2014 issue. The app is a 10-day meditation challenge, and you can unlock more content if you subscribe to the app. I have been loving it! Download it here.
Deborah Lippmann's Holiday 2014 Collection
via Deborah Lippmann
Tis the season for sparkle! Now that Thanksgiving has passed, it is officially ok to deck the halls and your nails with all things festive. Deborah Lippmann's Holiday 2014 "Fantastical" collection is just that— filled with shimmer, glitter and fairytale colors. I especially love "Magic Carpet Ride," described as an 'eccentric ebony explosion.' Shop the whole collection here.
16 Personalities Test
via 16 Personalities
I have always loved taking personality tests. They are scary accurate (ESFJ for life). It is fun to take these with friends and then check our compatibility. It's no wonder my best friend and I are so close— we are super compatible according to these tests! Check out my favorite personality test here.
The New Yorker Does Thanksgiving
The New Yorker's Thanksgiving posts never disappoint, and this year was no exception. Click here to read George Packer's hilarious satire, "A Thanksgiving Dream," here for Colin Nissan's comedic fake will "Thanksgiving Food Coma D.N.R." and here for Donald Hall's page-turner "Garlic with Everything."
xoxo,
Ashley
