The Review: First Aid Beauty

via Sephora

Over the last few months, I've become a huge fan of First Aid Beauty. It all started with the brand's Facial Radiance Pads, which are acid toning cotton rounds, pre-soaked in a potent mixture of glycolic and lactic acids that slough off dead skin cells and reveal a clearer, brighter complexion. I use these nightly and have noticed an improvement in skin tone with continued use. Plus, I think they help me clear away the any bits of makeup that survive my double-cleansing routine.

Speaking of cleansers, I've also tried out FAB's SLS-free Face Cleanser, which is a foamy cleanser perfect for post-makeup removal (although the product description does state this can be used alone to remove makeup). I love how gentle the formula is— my skin never feels dry or tight after cleansing, plus the aloe in the formula has a cooling effect.

For a deeper cleanse, I turn to FAB's effective masks, specifically Skin Rescue Purifying Mask with Red Clay and Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask. The clay mask is a peel-off formula, which is so satisfying to remove once it has dried (plus it comes off in one big piece, not a bunch of little pieces like some peel-off masks). It makes my skin feel tight and clean, but not in a parched way. I love that I can just apply a moisturizer after I peel this off and am set for the night! For when my skin is a bit angrier, I use the oatmeal mask which is one of the most soothing products ever. The formula smells delicious, instantly cools skin and provides a boost of moisture due to its oatmeal, sea buckthorn and shea butter content.

Finally, FAB has launched a line of "seven day doses," which are deluxe samples of their bestselling products, available at Sephora. This concept, called "To the Rescue" will automatically get you hooked on FAB's effective, affordable and sensitive skin-friendly products. Enjoy!

xoxo,
Ashley
