PHEW! Another week has already gone by?! I can hardly believe how fast this summer is going. This week was definitely jam packed with a few tests, many meetings but most importantly a lot of fun. And the fun continues this weekend as I have a few days of relaxing with friends (and maybe a little working) lined up.
Here are my favorites from this week:

I read this article in The Atlantic this morning (how appropriate!) and had to share it. The article describes the science of productivity and how working longer doesn't necessarily mean working "smarter." I found this week that the time I was most productive was, well, "crunch time" where I was working to a looming deadline. As I prepare for another term abroad (London calling!!), I will keep this in mind and make sure to pack my days full of sightseeing, fun with friends and defined periods for working where I am forced to be productive (note: this is different than procrastinating— time is too valuable to waste on Facebook!).
2. Nude Nails + Rings

Nude nails are my summer obsession. I wear mostly charcoal-colored nails in the fall and winter (because black goes with everything), but in the summer, nude nails are perfect. They make hands and feet look clean and well groomed as well as hiding chips effectively. Paired with gold rings (I am obsessed with gold right now), they even make me look slightly less pale! Yay!

I read this crazy article about "handbag rankings," on NYT Style based on reviews of bags, sales and customer satisfaction. I was so surprised by the results (RIP Birkin Bag?). I hope these charts continue to come out as there were some big surprises. I don't really know if this would necessarily be a "trend" report, but the data is definitely something I would take into account (nerd alert) when shopping for a new bag.

This sulfur and AHA-packed blemish treatment has been a lifesaver when unexpected spots pop up (the worst!). To use this, I wash and exfoliate my face, massaging in my cleanser 2-3 times with really warm water to soften pores, then exfoliating and finally cleansing once more. I then extract or just leave any blemishes and immediately apply the EradiKate solution to the affected areas. This works best for raised blemishes as opposed to blocked pores, but is still helpful for killing bacteria. Softening the pores allows the medicine to seep in deeper and clear things up quickly. I use this right before bed and wash it off in the morning.

This is one of the deepest-moisturizing hand lotions I have every tried! I got a travel sized sample once when I purchased something at Nordstrom and began using it this summer. It smells really refreshing and light, but is most importantly not greasy. I love the cute little tube it comes in too— it reminds me of oil paints and is easy to use. Definitely something I will repurchase in the future!!
